People with special needs

Many adults with special needs are very productive citizens, holding full or part time jobs and maintaining an active lifestyle. However, their disabilities can make it challenging to be fully independent in their financial affairs. For such individuals, added financial stress can have a negative effect on their physical and/or mental well being. Studies have shown that financial stress can cause a decline in mental health, energy level and self esteem. Further, a decline in one’s mental health can lead to having less control of one’s finances (link: https://www.inc.com/amy-morin/7-reasons-mental-health-issues-financial-issues-tend-to-go-hand-in-hand-and-it-has-nothing-to-do-with-cost-of-treatment.html

A daily money manager can make a pronounced difference in quality of life for people with special needs,  helping them with daily money management tasks so they can live their best possible lives. My approach is custom tailored to each person’s specific requirements and can include a few services or many. I work with an individual’s family and other care providers to make sure their needs for financial care are met. Once there is a plan of assistance in place, stress levels will go down and both the person with special needs and their loved ones can have greater peace of mind.
